ResaleIntake
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 7, 2026
ResaleIntake is software that resale, consignment and thrift shops use to run their business. This policy covers the ResaleIntake iPhone app, any shop-branded iPhone app built on the same software, and the customer account pages at app.resaleintake.com.
Who holds your information
The shop you consign or shop at decides what is kept about you and what it is used for. ResaleIntake LLC provides and operates the software on that shop’s behalf, and acts on its instructions.
In practice that means: if you want your record corrected or deleted, the fastest route is to ask the shop. If you would rather ask us, write to privacy@resaleintake.com and we will pass it to them and see it through.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers. Ever. One shop cannot see another shop’s customers.
What the app collects
Only two things are collected by the app itself.
- Your email address, when you type it on the sign-in screen. It is used to look up which shops you already have an account with and to email you your account link. It is not added to any marketing list by signing in, and typing an address here never creates an account.
- A notification token for your device, if you allow notifications. This is an identifier Apple issues so that messages can reach your phone. It is used for that and nothing else. Decline, or turn notifications off later in iOS Settings, and no token is stored.
There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising in the app. It contains no third-party software development kits of any kind. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, browsing history or an advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
What your shop holds about you
Your account exists because you gave a shop your details at their counter or through their sign-up link. Depending on what you do there, that record can include:
- your name, and the phone number and email you gave them;
- items you have brought in, what was offered for them, and what happened to them;
- your store credit balance, loyalty points, gift cards, and purchases made at that shop;
- appointments, drop-offs, and messages between you and the shop;
- whether you have agreed to hear about sales and events, which you can change at any time.
Payment card numbers are neverstored by us. Card payments are handled by the shop’s payment processor, which returns only enough to show you a receipt.
Your account link is your password
There is no password. Your account is a private web link, which we send to you and never display anywhere. The app stores that link in the iOS Keychain, encrypted, marked so that it cannot travel to another device through an iCloud backup.
Treat it like a password: anyone who has the link can see your account. If you think someone else has it, ask the shop and they can issue you a new one, which retires the old.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of service providers to run the software. They process information on our instructions only, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Supabase and Vercel — hosting and the database the records live in.
- Resend — sending email, including your account link.
- Twilio — sending text messages, where a shop has texting switched on.
- Stripe and CardPointe/Fiserv — taking card payments.
- Apple — delivering notifications to your phone.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety. If the business is ever sold or merged, records move with it and this policy travels with them.
How long it is kept
Your shop keeps your account for as long as you are a customer, because that is what a store credit balance and a consignment history are for. Ask the shop, or us, to close it and the record is removed, other than anything a shop is required to keep for tax and accounting purposes — typically transaction records, for as long as the law where they trade requires.
What you can ask for
Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and tell us to stop sending you marketing. Messages about your own drop-offs, offers and orders are not marketing and are sent either way while you have an account.
You can turn marketing email and texts on or off yourself from your account page at any time, or use the unsubscribe link on any message.
To close your account, open your account pages (or the app) and use Delete my account at the bottom of the Account tab. That goes straight to your shop, who will confirm when it is done and tell you if anything has to be kept for their accounts.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these — no worse pricing, no reduced service.
Children
The app and the account pages are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and any change that materially affects how your information is used will be told to you rather than left here to be noticed.
